A German Chancellor Fellowship allows scientists to carry out a project of your own design in cooperation with a host in Germany you have selected. The programme is under the patronage of the German Chancellor and also incorporates an intensive language course in Germany, a four-week introductory seminar in Bonn and Berlin, a study trip around Germany and a final meeting in Berlin. The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals is a work/study scholarship program. Funded by the U.S. Congress and German Parliament (Bundestag), the program consists of two months of German language instruction (no prior German knowledge required), a semester at a German university or vocational school, and an internship in the participant's career field, all while living with a German host or in a shared-apartment. The Internship Program in Germany provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain international work experience in Germany, improve their German language skills and experience German culture firsthand. Internship placements are available in a variety of fields, including, but not limited to business, engineering, finance, tourism, IT, media/communications, international relations, the nonprofit sector, German studies and economics. Most internships are paid and scholarships are available to qualified participants that receive unpaid internships.
